Oh well, an original entry which can be very amusing for some, and can be quite a pressuring and sweating situation too. Craps : Suatu hari yang malang!

Haiz .. what a day to start. Had a long sleep since yesterday night. Thought it was a nice start for a day with adequate rest. Mana tau ...

After my morning bath, I was on my way to work. Reaching Jln Tun Razak, as usual, the traffic is slow. I was on the flyover crawling a bit. After receiving a call from the office, I was driving slow, quite some distance from the 4WD in front of me. Don't recall what car was it, but it was huge. Suddenly that familiar screeching sound is so visible. The car in front brake suddenly. I saw the smokes from his front tyres. I was glad my response time was quick enough. Slamp on my brakes, see the car behind me, a taxi, and I thought ... diu! sure kena hit this time. Since I still had some distance from the car in front, I swayed side way abit, and thank goodness, the taxi managed to avoid kissing my butt. =.="""

When I started accelerating again, I wasn't moving much .. diu! What now ? I guess the brakes is still in effect. Tried to add more pressure to accellerator, and finally it started moving a bit faster. Occasionally when I need to brake, I sensed the brake response was rather good. Must be that reason why the car is so unenergetic.

Finally reached the office, and went to clean up the mess in my car. Everything fell off the seat. My water bottle cap was open, the entire front floor mat was wet, and luckily the rubber mat contained the water, and not a single drop of water seeped thru the absorbable mat underneath.

When everything is done, I realised more malangs. First, I forgot to put the mouse in the case. No mouse, how to navigate ??? Grrr... Second, time for coffee, and I realised, OMG, I forgot to bring my supplies!

Now I wonder what else could go wrong today. Triple Sigh!

Chimiology : Family Values, where art thou ?

I was having lunch with ex-stemlife colleagues yesterday. 3/5 has every urgent intention need to join the alumni, 1/5 could be scouting for a job silently, and the remaining 1/5 is probably not too bad at this moment, working for no-life-stemlife.

The main story revolves around this particular manager. She's about my age, had a daughter (i think so). The problem is, it was concluded she will be a dissappointing mother to her child. Lately, her child had some problem on the skin, details I didn't poke deeper. As a mother who is truly responsible, the first thing that should came to mind is, worry about the condition of her daughter, why the wound/whatever it is is not healing yet, etc. On the contrary, her voiced opinion is ... fan sei yan ah! (so troublesome).

What kinda mother would be saying that ? As far as i still recall, most parents esp those working in klang valley, missed having spending quality times with their children, and think of their well-being every available second. But for her, she places what the top management thinks of her, rather than what the majority 99.99999% of ppl would thought of her as a mother with no responsibility towards her child. Where is the love that she can shower indefinitely ? Where is the sense of caring that is truly part of human nature ? Climbing the corporate ladder, is this the ultimatum, in exchange of neglecting the rest of the areas in life there is ?

Although I've not had much encounters with her personally, I do not respect her in any sense. In fact, I don't really respect much of the top management ppl cum company owners. When it comes to their ability to build the business from scratch (er, well .. i dun think this is correct either, since there is a huge financial backing anyway), the ability to manage the hardest thing, managing human, is such a flop!

Coming back to this family value thingy again, another person was talking over the phone to her daughter, and someone happens to eavesdrop. Let me put it in a sarcastic and exaggerated form:

Daughter : mom, i wanna meet up wit my friends whom i've not met in years.
Mom: No, you cannot! We have a family dinner, and if you go out, it's very hard to arrange again.
Daughter : but mom ..
Mom: You can't go out! Stay home, or you'll be grounded.
Daughter : (grrr) Oh-kay!.

In her daughter's mind, she must've been thinking of this:

Yah right, when we needed you, you work like shit and never had the time for us. Now that we (the siblings) have adapted to the life of not having you around much, being independent, having a life of our own, you ask us to stay home so you can have a so-called quality time with us.

Nowadays, humans generally are chasing the luxuries of life. Luxuries requires loads of time, and in exchange for that, one has to let go of a lot of things. Everyone of us only had 24 hours a day. How well balanced a person manages vital aspects of their life is so crucial towards building a healthy family.

In the past, human work hard to survive, to earn a living, to provide the necessities for their family. Current trend is to go overboard. Do you seriously thing that by providing all the luxuries aka being materialistic is all there is in this world ? Do you seriously think that having the capability of sending your children overseas for studies guaranteed success in their life ?

I was once offered to study in London, rather, someone would like to sponsor my college fees. After much serious thought, in view of the current economy, and how the currency seems to fluctuate ever so often, and also being away from home for years, I decided to decline the offer, and chose to stay back and did my degree in a local uni. One main reason, I don't want to be too far from family. Not to say I rely on my family in every possible reason, but i'm just the kinda guy which is homely, prefer to have family and close friends nearby ... the sense of closeness. Turns out, my decision is a right one. The following year, the forex shoot up sky high. from 5.0 - 7.x ? I wonder how much extra would my sponsor have to fork out if I did indeed went to UK.

Chimiology : I Got a 'Special' Boss

 Today, I was at MAPEX 2006 selangor version, at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre. So, this thing i wanna tok abt is, about the area mgr ..

the whole company knew he is different. he scold ppl differently, he thinks differently, he acts differently, he wants you to be a good student. listen n absorb, dun ever fight back ... 1 word OBEDIENT. hehe... i learnt about it early. and so far, i've not tasted his wraths yet, as it can be very very hurtful, even though it is meant generally, but u just know he's pointing at you.

so, i was idling a bit at one time, then he stand next to me, ask me to observe that guy next booth. and so, it went on like this :

look at his eyes .. hmm .. look up once .. now he crosses his hand, the hands open very wide .. see his hands movement, see where his eyes watches/focussing on, etc etc. and then, 1 prospect came over, n since i dunno much about the project of the highlight, he attended to the client. aft that, he left, since he wasnt feeling well.

throughout the time, i so so so wanted to ask him : erm, ok, so i was observing, but hor .. what exactly did u wan me to conclude ? i'm like ... huh ? i don't dare to ask him explicitly what was the main objective for the observations. issit to say he has very nice posture, his movements shows confidence kah ? he has a good communication skills ka ? or what ?

Craps : Short Entry, Pure Craps

 I'm like never finish blogging whatever i wanna say. Well, just tot of logging in and crap a bit. Was reading OJ's entry about some obsessions, and guess what, yah, i do hv a new found obsession ... YouTube! not that I've only recently discovered or wat, but having 2 days replacement day off, I'm more than thrilled to catch up on Tsubasa Chronicles. The last chapter i watched was like 1 month ago, when my bro BT-ed it. I prefer the faster way, YouTubed It! haha.

Today, i watch chapter 31-35 and also the movie version. I was hoping I could find other interesting stuffs to watch too, but no idea what to find either.

Tomorrow is another row of non stop working days. Wonder when the management will confirm whether I'm heading off to Singapore or not. Rather looking forward to meet some fairylanders from singapore, especially my number 1 blog fan, diabetes! haha.
